First impression of Vienna

My first impression of Vienna is cold, freezing cold! It is much colder than seattle, and snowed for three days after i arrived. In my mind, the winter without snow is not a real winter. Because in my hometown, it always snows in winter. I love snow for her pure and white. During the whole winter in seattle, i did not see the snow, but rain all the time.Vienna gives me the real feeling of winter.

The another strong impression is its various
kinds of architectures. The first day on the way from airport to inner city, it seemed like i travelled through time, and came back to the 80th century. All the architectures look like coming from the classic european films such as Roman Holiday.  As we learned last quarter in the german 299 class, they are gothic, baroque, and romanesque.

At the register day, teachers from iki took us to the Stephansplatz to having welcome dinner.
As soon as went out of the U-Bahn station, i was shocked by a grandiose church. After i google it, i know that it called Stephansdom, and was a     architecture, which combined of baroque, romanesque and gothic styles. The portal facing the west is romanesques, the steeple is gothic, and the altar is baroque. Although the Stephansdom is combined of three kinds of architectural styles, it is not towering but gorgeous.

This weekend i went to the Parndorf outlet with my friends, and there are 170 designerstores such as Prada, adidas, and Guess. You can take the shuttle bus from the station opposite the Oper near iki.
Freitag: stündlich 11:00 -- 20:00
Samstag: stündlich 9:00--17:00
And you do not need to buy the ticket when you go there, but you need to buy the ticket at the second floor of customer information when you back. The ticket is 9.50 euro. I took a shopping guide from Parndorf, if any one want to go there, i can give the guide to you.
